Its name Alambi Santiago, Santiago, which was released in honor of Santiago Aguiliano Jesuit brother, who managed and delivered to the farm community in the '60s with the arrival of the first Agrarian Reform and Alambi which is derived from the Language Yumbo.
Archaeologists have not yet been able to accurately determine the exact location of this town, but it is thought that might be seated near the junction of the rivers Alambi and Pichan.
Alambi is located at 2800 m at a distance of 37 km from the city of Quito, right next to the Quito-Nono-Ecoroute Tandayapa. The nearest town is the parish of Nono to which it belongs.
They live on dairy farming and to sustain each family has its own garden.
